Questions and answers
These are the questions I get my nose into most often. If yours isn't here, write to us via the contact page – mum and dad reply as fast as they can.
About the site and the places
Do you have an app?
Yes! I've made a real app for both iPhone and Android, and it's free. Get it here, and you'll have all the places in your pocket – even far from home.
How does a new place get onto the site?
You press Share a woof and tell us about the place and your visit. No login needed. Mum and dad read your contribution and find the address and map before the place goes onto the site. If the venue's dog rules are on its official website or social media, we use those too. Otherwise the information is based on your experience from the visit.
How do you know whether a place is dog-friendly?
Places without visitor experiences are ones mum and dad have found themselves. There, the information comes from the venue's own website or official social media. When a dog and their humans share a place they've been to, the information comes from their visit and what they tell us. Mum and dad read every contribution, but they can't visit or check every place themselves. Dog rules can change, too, so what you read here is a guide, not a guarantee. Do check with the place itself – especially before you drive a long way.
Why isn't my local dog forest listed?
Because I only include dog forests that are worth a whole outing – fenced, special scenery or something else that gets the tail wagging extra. Denmark has hundreds of dog forests, and the Danish Nature Agency already keeps track of them all. Here with me, you'll find the ones worth driving to.
Something about a place is wrong – what do I do?
Press "Suggest a change" on the place's page and tell us what has changed. Dog rules do change, so mum and dad appreciate every heads-up – they fix it as soon as they've seen it.
About your woofs
Why didn't my review appear right away?
Most reviews go live immediately after a quick sniff test. If the test is in doubt, the review waits until mum and dad have read it – and they read everything, usually the same day.
Can a review be removed?
Yes. Mum and dad remove reviews that are offensive, are advertising or aren't about a real visit. And if you want your own review removed, just write to us via the contact page.
To the places' humans
I own a place – may I suggest it?
Yes, please do! Use Share a woof. Mum and dad write the description based on your published dog rules – so everything on this site is told with the same honest nose.
Can we pay to be listed or ranked higher?
No. Never. No one has ever paid to be here, and no one ever will. The order is decided by dogs and their humans: places with real reviews rank highest.
May we review our own place?
No – woofs must come from dogs that have actually visited you. Mum and dad read every review and remove the ones that smell of something else. My nose is hard to fool.
May we link to our page on your site?
YES PLEASE! Link as much as you like – then even more dogs can find you.
About me and my humans
Who is behind Pawsome Denmark?
I am! Wilma, adopted golden retriever from Esbjerg – with good help from mum and dad. Read the whole story on Meet Wilma.
What does it cost? Are there ads?
It's free, and there are no ads. The site is made by dog owners, for dog owners – and that's how it will stay.
How do you make money?
We don't. The site costs a bit of electricity and a couple of domain names, and mum and dad gladly pay that. In return, everything here is written for one tail only: mine. And yours.
