Hi, I'm Wilma
I'm an adopted golden retriever, and I live in Esbjerg with my mum, my dad and a cat. Mum and dad love taking me on adventures all over Denmark. The cat isn't allowed to come along – but someone has to stay home and look after the sofa.
I'm the nose behind Pawsome Denmark, always ready to sniff out new places where the whole family is welcome.
A little secret …
People often ask why the cat never comes along on our adventures. Well … someone has to stay home and keep the bed warm.
She claims she is "head of security". A very impressive title … except that, mysteriously, she is asleep in exactly the same spot in the bed every single time we come home.
Very suspicious, if you ask me.
Meanwhile, I'm out exploring beaches, forests and castles. I even have my own beach hat and sunglasses. The cat says I look silly … but she's just jealous because she doesn't have a holiday wardrobe.
But don't tell her I said that. We do have to live under the same roof, after all.
The story behind it
When mum and dad plan our trips, they often spend a long time finding places where I'm allowed to come along. They felt Denmark was missing one place where dog-friendly experiences could be gathered and easy to find – with no ads or other commercial interests at all.
So they decided to help me create Pawsome Denmark. Here dogs like me and their humans can add places they've visited, tell about their experience and share a photo from the trip. That way we can help each other find new adventures where we dogs get to come along too.
Why Pawsome Denmark exists
More trips together
The best adventure is the one the whole family can come along on.
Easier to choose
Dog rules should be easy to find and understand.
Help from the pack
Visitors can share their experiences and help keep the details fresh.
