““🐾 My Favourite Swimming Spot Near Esbjerg. Do you know what makes a perfect day? A place where dogs can run free, splash in the water, make new friends… and maybe even meet a few handsome boys. Well… I found it! Just outside Varde is Nysø, and it’s one of my absolute favourite places. My humans tell me it’s where the Esbjerg Golden Retriever group often meets. Now I understand why!

The moment we arrive, tails start wagging everywhere. Some dogs are racing around at top speed, others are happily swimming, and everyone seems to be smiling. (Yes, dogs smile!)

The best part is that there are two lakes. One is for humans, and the other is just for us dogs. Now that’s what I call good planning! I couldn’t wait to dive in. One minute I was running across the grass, the next I was splashing through the water, chasing my new friends and cooling off between zoomies.

And yes… I met a few very handsome Golden Retriever boys. I won’t say any names… a lady always keeps a little mystery.

After swimming, my humans and I explored the beautiful forest nearby. The trails are lovely, with plenty of exciting smells, birds to watch, and trees that deserve a thorough sniff.

There is just one thing I’d like to warn my fellow dogs about. Remember to watch out for speedy bicycles... they’re much harder to sniff than squirrels!"

Some cyclists come along very fast. One with a speedy face suddenly appeared around a bend right in front of us. Wilma (that’s me!) and my human both jumped so high I think our hearts skipped a beat!

Apart from that, it’s a wonderful place. Plenty of room to run, lots of happy dogs, crystal-clear water to splash in, and friendly people who understand that muddy paws are simply part of a good day out.

If your humans ask where you want to go this weekend… Give them your best puppy eyes and say, “Nysø, please!” I promise they’ll have just as much fun as you.
