35 of them have an off-leash area on the grounds, so I can stretch my legs without the leash before bed. And at 37 of the places I'm allowed indoors – in the room or the cabin, not just outside.

The coasts have the most: North and West Jutland have around twenty each, with sites at Skagen, Blokhus, Rømø, Henne Strand, Hvidbjerg and Ribe. If you're after a holiday with a dog in the city, a number of Copenhagen hotels will have me as well. At 52 of the places I have to be on a leash in the shared areas, which is perfectly normal at a campsite. Do remember that the rules and the price for a dog can change – ring the place before you book.
