Per the venue's website or official social mediaFunen is Denmark's castle country, and I'm allowed into the grounds of 4 of them – Egeskov, Valdemars Slot, Hindsgavl and the Romantic Garden in Odense. There are also 10 museums, among them the Funen Village, the Ladby ship and the Cold War Museum Langelandsfort.
If you're planning a holiday with a dog, there are 8 places to stay with a dog, several by the beach at Bogense, Assens, Emmerbølle and Kongshøj. At 7 of them there's an off-leash area, and Æbelø and Staurby Skov have room for a proper walk. If you get hungry, 5 dog-friendly cafés and eateries will have me. Do remember that rules can change – give the place a ring if we're driving a long way.
