Bornholm with your dog – dog-friendly places

14 places where I'm allowed to come along

Are dogs allowed on Bornholm? Yes – at 14 dog-friendly places on the rock island. Two of them are entirely off-leash: Åsedam dog forest and Hundehuzet, where I can run free inside a fence.

If you're planning a holiday with a dog, there are 5 places to stay with a dog – campsites at Dueodde and Gudhjem, Hotel Skovly and Stammershalle Badehotel. At 3 of them there's an off-leash area on the grounds.

Otherwise Hammershus and the cliffs at Hammeren are waiting, along with the Bornholm Medieval Centre, Brændesgårdshaven and Nature Park Bornholm. 2 places to eat will have me, including Ekkodalshuset in the middle of the forest. And from 1 October to 31 March I may run off the leash on the island's beaches, as long as I come when called. Do remember that rules can change – give the place a ring if you're unsure.
